From idea to NinjaTrader order
Use BrokerBridge for research and trade planning, with NinjaTrader handling your orders.
1. The Lightweight Link
BrokerBridge Link is a NinjaTrader 8 AddOn, not a chart indicator. It loads from your NinjaTrader Custom folder when NinjaTrader 8 starts and waits on loopback port 49998 for your BrokerBridge desktop app. There is nothing to attach to a chart.
2. AI Ideas to Rule-Checked Plans
When you ask for a trade plan or run an AI model, BrokerBridge turns the idea into a structured order with an exact entry price, protective stop loss, and profit target.
3. Local Link connection
All messages between BrokerBridge and NinjaTrader stay on your local Windows PC (using loopback port 49998). Selected AI features may send task context to your chosen AI service. See the security documentation for data boundaries.
4. Practice with Sim Accounts
Test strategies on NinjaTrader simulation accounts with real market data feeds. You can inspect every trade plan, edit prices, or discard plans before submission.
How orders reach NinjaTrader
- BrokerBridge creates and submits orders through NinjaTrader's own order engine on the bound account, so NinjaTrader owns the order state and the fills. BrokerBridge does not run a second order path beside it.
- Protection is submitted as separate stop and target orders, not through a NinjaTrader ATM strategy template, so no ATM template is applied to these orders.
- The link is local: BrokerBridge talks to the AddOn on 127.0.0.1:49998 on the same PC, which adds no network hop of its own between your approved plan and NinjaTrader. Fill timing is NinjaTrader's, unchanged.
- A resting protected LIMIT entry is single-contract. Ask for more than one contract and BrokerBridge refuses the request before submitting anything, rather than leave a partial fill unprotected.
Register BrokerBridge Link Machine ID
Link your PC hardware ID to authorize your BrokerBridge Link AddOn.
Install BrokerBridge Link and start NinjaTrader 8. Open New → NinjaScript Output in the Control Center and copy the Machine ID from the BrokerBridge Link registration message into the field above. Use the ID generated by BrokerBridge Link, not the NinjaTrader ID under Help → About. After registering, restart NinjaTrader.
Installation Steps
Close NinjaTrader 8
Fully exit NinjaTrader 8 before copying the AddOn. NinjaTrader loads DLLs from the Custom folder at startup and holds the file open while it runs.
Extract & Copy the DLL
Extract BrokerBridgeRetailLink.dll from the downloaded zip and copy it into:

Start NinjaTrader 8
Start NinjaTrader 8. BrokerBridge Link is an AddOn: it loads on its own, and BrokerBridgeRetailLink is never added to a chart or chosen under Indicators. Confirm it started in New → NinjaScript Output, where the line names the listening address 127.0.0.1:49998.
Connect in BrokerBridge Desktop
In BrokerBridge, open Settings → Broker Accounts and choose Pair securely with NinjaTrader. Choose your NinjaTrader account, set its class, and choose Bind account. The badge reads NT8 connected and names the bound account.
