Read, review, and revise a trade plan

Understand the card's numbers, destination, confidence labels, conditional entries, and refusal messages.

Read the card in a consistent order

Open and expand a plan in Chat (the reply card or Plans button) or in Dashboard → Trade Plans. Plans created by an AI Playbook wait in AI Playbook → Pending Plans. Check identity and destination first. A convincing explanation cannot correct a wrong account, contract, quantity, or action.

Field or ideaQuestion it should answer
Symbol and productExactly what would I buy or sell? For a contract, which expiry and other contract details apply?
DirectionAm I opening, adding to, reducing, or closing a holding?
QuantityHow many shares or contracts will this order use? Is the number an amount, percentage, or count?
EntryAt what price or under what condition should an entry be attempted?
Exit if wrong / stopWhat is the planned loss-control exit, and what type of order will implement it?
TargetWhere would the planned profit-taking exit occur?
Order destinationWhich exact account receives this plan's orders, and is it live?
Data and rationaleHow recent is the information, why does it support the idea, and what contradicts it?

Check the arithmetic and the meaning

For a stock purchase, quantity × entry price estimates purchase value. Quantity × the distance to the loss-control exit estimates loss to that level. Both depend on actual fills and omit other possible costs or losses.

Stock quantities count shares; options and futures count contracts with instrument-specific values. Check the contract and multiplier before applying arithmetic. Ask Chat to explain unfamiliar units.

How sure expresses an assessment of the setup, not a probability of profit. A high assessment can still accompany missing information or a losing trade.

Make a revision and read the resulting plan again

Before you start: Start with a saved draft that has not been sent. Changing a draft is different from changing a working order.

  1. Describe the change precisely

Use available card fields or request a revised draft. Name the quantity or price to change and keep review-only wording.

You should see: The card shows the intended terms.

If you get stuck: A changed explanation does not prove the saved card changed.

  2. Check for new consequences

Larger quantities increase exposure; farther-away exits increase planned loss at the same quantity. Recheck all prices and dollar estimates.

You should see: The app rechecks the intended revised plan.

If you get stuck: If card and confirmation disagree, stop and refresh.

  3. Respond to stale data

Use the displayed refresh or price-review recovery. Review new numbers before another approval attempt.

You should see: Fresh evidence or a clear remaining block.

If you get stuck: An earlier price may no longer be available. Waiting or discarding the idea is valid.

An approved plan may wait for a condition

Some plans wait for a condition, such as price reaching a specified level. Approval may authorize watching and later submission. It does not prove the condition happened, an order was accepted, or a fill occurred.

Read the condition, schedule or expiry, and current state. To stop the plan, use its available controls and verify the result. Hiding a card does not prove an order was cancelled or a holding closed.

Refusals identify issues such as limits, account verification, stale data, missing details, or unsupported actions. Resolve the named cause. An override is a separate trading decision, not a beginner setup step.
